Covid 19 Safety Procedures:
-The day prior to your appointment you will receive a symptom questionnaire by email that you must respond to prior to coming in.
Upon entering the building, all patients are required to wash their hands/sanitizer prior to entering the office.
- We will meet you at the door to do a quick temperature check with a thermometer.
- All patients are required to wear a face covering of some kind the entire time you are in the office, for the duration of the treatment.  We will be wearing surgical masks.
- You will be taken to the treatment room directly.  No waiting in the waiting room.
- We will require “touch less” payments for all patients. You will be asked to put a credit card in the system to expedite that process at the end of the treatment.  Follow up appointments can be scheduled prior to leaving the treatment room. Scheduling ahead of time on line, if you are able, will help to expedite our check out process.
- Once your treatment is done, you will be asked to leave via the exit door

What we need from you:

-Please do not bring anyone with you to your appointment.
-Please DO NOT bring unnecessary items into the office with you, i.e., purses, bags, water bottles, iPads, etc..  The fewer items you have the less likely we will have any issues with contamination.
-Please DO NOT come to your appointment if you have, or have had, any cold or flu symptoms in the past 14 days, have traveled recently, or have any of the symptoms that are associated with Covid-19.  This applies if you have a household member with any symptoms.  We know that there are many silent carriers, but out goal is to minimize any exposure of known causes.  Instead, call us to reschedule or discuss other options.

The Clinic are accepting the insurance for acupuncture patients. In order to best serve, you can verify your insurance benefits before you arrive about 24 hours. Please click on the verify insurance button and complete the online form. We'll contact you as soon as the benefits are established.  Please note this may take a couple of days to verify.

The community Acupuncture:

        During your first visit, we'll sit and share information together. The goal here is to figure out a plan to start moving things forward for you. Once we establish a treatment plan, we'll move into the treatment room you take a seat in a recliner of your choice.
    We’ll use the special distal style of acupuncture to treat you so you can remain fully clothed and only simply rolling up your sleeves and pant legs. The points are focused from the elbows to the fingers, knees to the toes, head or ears. From here on out, your job is to kick back and enjoy a good rest. A typical treatment will last about 45 minutes.

What does acupuncture feel like? Do the needles hurt?

      Acupuncture needles are very different from the hypodermic needles used to give injections. Acupuncture needles are extremely thin, solid stainless steel, individually packaged and disposable. They are usually painless upon insertion.
      When the acupuncturist places your needles it is common to feel a little pinch, mild sting, numbness, heaviness or distended sensation in the area around the needles when they are inserted. It should not be painful. Some people are more sensitive than others, so we will adjust our technique and the gauge of needles according to each person’s response. if you experience discomfort at the site of needles insertion, we will adjust or remove and a new needle can be inserted. All needles are used only once and then disposed. Most people are deeply relaxed and/or asleep once all points are placed.
